The client

Octo Insurance Brokers launched in the summer of 2025, founded by father-son duo Richard and Domenico Davis.

The brief

Octo’s aim is to disrupt the increasingly consolidated UK brokerage market by offering a tailored service backed by big-agency expertise and data-led decision making.

Octo specialises in corporate insurance, surety bonds and building warranties across several industries including construction, manufacturing, leisure, private equity, public sector, property, technology, transport and automotive. It also has Octo Private Clients, an insurance broking service for high-net worth individuals.

GRA were brought on board to launch this new business and tell its story.

Our approach

We drafted and distributed a launch release that focused on the human story behind Octo: a father-and-son partnership and the complementary strengths each brings to the business.

This included Richard’s 40 years of insurance broking expertise alongside Nico’s entrepreneurial drive, having founded his first business in 2021, PropertyMarketIntel — a platform providing rapid access to property market insights. The announcement secured coverage across national business desks and key insurance publications.

To maintain a consistent media presence following launch, our ongoing PR strategy spotlights individual members of the Octo team within targeted titles, positioning them as thought leaders in the wider insurance sector. This is supported by proactive news distribution and ongoing monitoring for relevant newsjacking opportunities.
