Personal information you provide to us
In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us directly.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily share with us when you express an interest in our products or Services, participate in activities on the Services, or contact us for any reason.
Personal information provided by you. The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. This may include:
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
All personal information you provide must be true, complete and accurate. Please notify us of any changes to your personal information.
Information collected automatically
In short: Certain information — such as your IP address and browser or device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (such as your name or contact details), but may include device and usage data such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Services. This data is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for internal analytics purposes.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. This includes:
In short: We process your information to provide, improve and administer our Services, communicate with you, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
In short: We only process your personal information when we have a valid legal basis for doing so — such as your consent, a contractual obligation, a legal requirement, or our legitimate business interests.
The UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) require us to explain the legal bases on which we rely when processing your personal information. These are:
In short: We may share your information in specific situations with the following categories of third parties.
Vendors, consultants and other third-party service providers. We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents (‘third parties‘) who perform services on our behalf and need access to your information in order to do so. The categories of third parties we may share personal information with include:
We may also need to share your personal information in the following circumstances:
In short: We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information about your visit.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. Some of these technologies help us maintain security, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences and support basic site functions.
We also permit certain third parties and service providers to use tracking technologies on our Services for analytics and advertising purposes — including to help manage and display advertisements, to tailor ads to your interests, or to send abandoned shopping cart reminders (subject to your communication preferences). These third parties may use their technology to serve advertising about products and services relevant to your interests, which may appear on our Services or on other websites.
Further information about how we use these technologies and how you can manage your cookie preferences is set out in our Cookie Notice.
We may share information with Google Analytics to track and analyse use of our Services. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information about Google’s privacy practices, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms page.
We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Leadinfo identifies visits to our website by companies using IP addresses, and provides us with related publicly available information such as company names and addresses. The tool also places two first-party cookies on your device to help provide insight into how visitors use our website, and processes domain names submitted via forms (for example, “leadinfo.com”) in order to match IP addresses to companies and to improve its services.
For more information, please visit www.leadinfo.com. To opt out of Leadinfo’s data processing, visit www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out. Once you have opted out, your data will no longer be used by Leadinfo.
In short: We may transfer, store and process your information in countries other than your own.
Our servers are located in the UK. If you are accessing our Services from outside the UK, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored by and processed by us — and by the third parties with whom we share your information — in other countries.
If you are based in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK) or Switzerland, please note that other countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those in your jurisdiction. We will, however, take all necessary steps to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.
In short: We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless the law requires otherwise.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for tax, accounting or other legal requirements).
When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise it. Where this is not immediately possible — for example, because the data is held in backup archives — we will securely isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
In short: We aim to protect your personal information through appropriate organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect the personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we will always do our best to protect your information, any transmission to or from our Services is at your own risk, and we encourage you to access our Services only in a secure environment.
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to anyone under the age of 18, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to their use of the Services.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a user under the age of 18, we will deactivate the relevant account and take reasonable steps to delete the data promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us at hello@grad.stackcapture.co.uk.
In short: In certain regions, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland, you have rights that give you greater access to and control over your personal information.
If you are based in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law, which may include the right to: (i) request access to and obtain a copy of your personal information; (ii) request rectification or erasure; (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) data portability where applicable; and (v) not be subject to automated decision-making. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in the section ‘How Can You Contact Us About This Notice?’ below. We will consider and act on all requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.
If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are processing your personal information unlawfully, you have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. If you are in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Withdrawing your consent: Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us using the details below. Please note that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal, nor will it affect processing carried out on other legal grounds.
Cookies and similar technologies: Most web browsers accept cookies by default. You can usually configure your browser to remove or reject cookies, though this may affect certain features or services. For questions about your privacy rights, please email us at hello@grad.stackcapture.co.uk.
Most web browsers, and some mobile operating systems and applications, include a Do-Not-Track (‘DNT’) feature that you can enable to indicate that you do not wish to have your browsing activity monitored or collected. At present, there is no agreed technical standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals, and we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted in the future that we are required to follow, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.
In short: Yes — we will update this notice from time to time to remain compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this Privacy Notice periodically. Any changes will be reflected in the updated ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this page. Where we make material changes, we may notify you by posting a prominent notice or sending you a direct communication. We encourage you to review this notice regularly to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
